Merit Awards (in the form of fee reduction) - SI2018

In SI2018, number of Merit Awards, in the form of fee reduction, are available to students with outstanding academic credentials. If you fulfill any of the criteria below, you can apply for the Merit Award when you submit your Summer Institute application online:

  • Participants of the Program for the Gifted and Talented organised by CUHK. Recommendation on the applicants will be sought from the Program for the Gifted and Talented.
  • Participants of the Science Academy for Young Talent organised by CUHK. Recommendation on the applicants will be sought from the Science Academy for Young Talent.
  • Students who are recommended by their schools as having excellent academic credentials. Applies to students who ranked top 10% in the form in the school exams of the last TWO terms.

Notes - SI2018

  1. The programme fee covers tuition, learning materials, cost of visits, field trips and social activities, shared-room accommodation for two nights (13–15 July) and meals during the orientation camp and the graduation camp
  2. The “Programme Fee (with accommodation)” option covers the above mentioned plus shared-room accommodation for 12 nights (15–27 July).
  3. All students who DO NOT have the right of abode or right to land in Hong Kong are required to obtain a student visa for studying in Hong Kong. The Office of Academic Links will assist in the student visa application after receiving st
