Summer Institute (SI)

While all participants are required to live on-campus during the orientation camp (13-15 July), on-campus accommodation during the rest of the programme is optional. With that said, you are strongly encouraged to live in a student hostel at one of our nine residential Colleges for the entire programme to experience residential life at CUHK.

CUHK is the only university in Hong Kong that has a residential college system. Colleges are congenial communities with their own hostels, dining halls and facilities. They are where students receive pastoral care and whole-person education, and offer exciting palettes with which to colour their university life. In fact, many graduates of the University have quoted college life as among their best experiences at CUHK.

All hostel rooms at CUHK are modestly furnished with air-conditioning and high-speed internet. There are also shared bathrooms and laundry facilities.
