Course Description | This course examines the social and ethical issues of animals. What are the key differences between humans and other animals? Is it ethical to raise and slaughter animals for food, conduct scientific tests on, and buying or keeping animals as pets? The goal of this course is to introduce you to, and engage you in, the philosophical reflection on these interesting questions.
本課程探討與動物相關的社會與道德議題。到底人與其他動物有何重要的區別? 我們飼養並殺害動物食用是否道德? 以動物進行科學實驗孰對孰錯?買賣與養育寵物又有什麼問題? 本課程將引領大家如何從哲學角度來思考這些有趣的問題。 |
