  • All fees are subject to approval by the University.
  • All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
  • The programme fee covers enrolment in one or two courses (as specified) and participation in the enrichment activities.
  • The activity and facility fee covers meals and activities for Orientation Day, on-campus transportation, and access to various CUHK facilities.

Notes:

  • All fees are subject to approval by the University.
  • All fees paid are non-refundable unless otherwise specified.
  • The programme fee covers enrolment in two courses and participation in the enrichment activities.
  • The visa fee at HK$730 is for students applying for a physical visa (entry permit). This fee is for visa sponsorship and application submission by CUHK to the Hong Kong Immigration Department (ImmD) as well as the collection and shipping of the visa label (entry permit) by courier.
  • The visa fee of HK$100 is for students applying for an e-visa. This fee is for visa sponsorship and application submission by CUHK to ImmD. Students need to pay another HK$330 to ImmD directly when collecting the e-visa.
  • The accommodation fee covers on-campus accommodation for the two-week programme period.
  • The activity and facility fee covers meals and activities of Hello Hong Kong and orientation day, evening activities, on-campus transportation, and access to various CUHK facilities.

 

All fees are subject to change without prior notice.

Merit Awards

A number of Merit Awards, in the form of fee reduction, are available to students with outstanding academic credentials. Students can apply as a:

  • Previous participant of the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT)
  • Previous participant of the Science Academy for Young Talent (SAYT)
  • Student who ranked in the top 10% of their peers at the same level and recommended by the school principal

The application deadline for Merit Awards:

  • Non-local student: 27 March 2026
  • Local student: 24 April 2026

Applying for Merit Awards

  1. Choose “Yes” as your answer in Section 5 of your online application.
  2. Provide the supporting documents according to the type of Merit Awards you are applying:

 

Merit Awards Supporting Documents & Channel of Submission
Participants of the Program for the Gifted and Talented (PGT) Official certificate/transcript from PGT/SAYT to be uploaded to Section 9 of the online application system by applicant.

Full image of the official certificate/ transcript including student’s full name, programme name and logo, year/date of participation, course name, and date of issue should be clearly shown in the supporting document(s) provided.

School Recommendation
  1. Download the School Recommendation Form for the school principal’s completion.
  2. The school to upload the School Recommendation Form for students to CUHK Portal on or before the stipulated application deadline for Merit Awards.
